Common questions
Do I need any hardware to start?
No. Bazaar IQ runs on the phone you already have. Barcode scanning uses the phone camera, so there is no scanner, no terminal and nothing to buy before your first bill.
What does it cost?
₹150 + GST per shop per month, billed monthly, cancel anytime. Every feature is included in that one plan — there is no higher tier to upgrade to.
What happens after the 14-day free trial?
The trial runs for 14 days and needs no card. When it ends you choose whether to continue; nothing is charged automatically and your data stays where it is.
Do I have to be GST registered?
No. Bazaar IQ works for regular, composition and unregistered shops. GST tax invoices are a setting you switch on when you need them, not a requirement for billing.
Can my staff use it without seeing everything?
Yes. Staff get their own logins with role-based permissions, so someone can bill without seeing purchase costs, margins or settings. Each sale records who made it.
Which languages does it work in?
English, Hindi, Marathi and Gujarati — the whole app, not just a few screens. Switch language any time from the sidebar, and each staff member can use the language they prefer.
Does it work for repair and service shops?
Yes. Repair Jobs adds numbered job cards — device intake, customer-approved estimates, parts from your inventory, advances and a final GST bill. It is off by default and switches on from Settings, so a pure retail counter never sees it.
What happens if the internet drops?
Billing keeps working. Sales made offline queue on the device and sync automatically the moment the connection returns, so a network blip never stops the counter.
Do I have to type in my whole catalogue?
Mostly no. Type a product name and the photo, price and GST details autofill from our catalogue; scan a barcode and it fills in what we know. You can also upload a supplier invoice PDF and the purchase lines fill themselves in.
Is my data safe?
Your shop’s data is encrypted in transit, backed up daily on our servers, and belongs to you. Staff see only what their role allows, and every sensitive action — voids, returns, cash taken — is recorded with who did it.
