Sales tell you what came in. Profit is what is left after rent, electricity, transport and the people who run the counter — and in most shops, those costs live in a diary, in someone’s head, or nowhere.

Expenses, in your own categories

Record an expense in a few seconds: amount, category, how it was paid, and a note. Use the common categories or add your own. Each expense belongs to the shop it was spent in, and a day-wise report shows what was spent, where, and on what.

Salary that is counted exactly once

Staff salary is where shop accounts usually go wrong. A worker takes ₹2,000 advance on the 10th and the rest at month end; write both down as expenses and the month looks ₹2,000 more expensive than it was.

Bazaar IQ treats it the way an accountant would:

1. The salary for the month is booked as a cost, once.
2. A bonus, if you give one, is booked as a cost, once.
3. Advances and part payments are settlements of that salary — they reduce what you still owe the worker, and are never added to cost a second time.

Each employee has a ledger showing salary due, what has been paid and what is outstanding. A cash or UPI salary payment entered by mistake can be cancelled, and the cash book is corrected with it.

Workers on payroll do not need an app login. You can link a payroll entry to a staff login when the same person also bills at the counter.

Profit and loss for the month

The profit-and-loss report brings it together: sales, cost of goods, expenses and salary, for one shop or all of them.
