Hand your CA a Tally file.

Sales, expenses, payments and receipts exported as a TallyPrime XML file for your CA.

  • Sales vouchers with taxable value, CGST and SGST split per slab
  • Expenses, supplier payments and khata receipts as vouchers
  • Ledger masters exported first, so the vouchers have somewhere to post
  • Every voucher balances to the paisa — returns become credit notes

Many shop owners keep their books in Tally — or, more often, their CA does. The usual hand-off is a stack of bills and a weekend of data entry at the CA’s office, with mistakes found in the GST return a month later.

Bazaar IQ exports the period’s transactions as a TallyPrime XML file instead.

What is in the file

  • Masters — the ledgers the vouchers post to: sales, tax, expense heads, parties and suppliers.
  • Sales vouchers — each bill’s total split into taxable value, CGST and SGST for its tax slab. A return becomes a credit note.
  • Expense vouchers — from the expenses you recorded in the app.
  • Payment and receipt vouchers — what you paid suppliers, and what khata customers paid you.

Every voucher balances to the paisa, even when the bill has awkward rounding — an unbalanced voucher is the most common reason a Tally import is rejected.

How to use it

From Reports, choose the date range and download the file. You can download masters and vouchers together, or separately if your CA prefers to import masters first. Your CA imports it into TallyPrime through the standard XML import.

We recommend importing the first file into a backup copy of the company, so your CA can check the ledger mapping before it touches the live books.
