A single stock number is the most expensive lie in a supermarket. Two cartons in the godown and an
empty front shelf is a stockout to the customer and a healthy figure to the software — so the sale is
lost and nothing flags it.
Bazaar IQ counts display and storage stock separately, with its own alert threshold on the shelf. You
find out you need to refill from the back before a customer finds out for you.
Staff at the counter, control with the owner
Every staff member bills under their own login with role-based permissions, so someone can run the
till without seeing purchase costs, margins or settings. Each sale records who made it, which makes
the day’s activity attributable rather than anonymous.
What is actually earning its shelf
Breadth is the difficulty: stationery, packaged food, household goods and toiletries compete for the
same capital. Top items are ranked by value, profit sits beside turnover, and sales, purchase and
stock reports export to CSV — so dead stock becomes visible instead of absorbing another quarter.
Reconcile without shutting the shop
Physical counts always drift from recorded counts. A one-tap reconcile corrects the number and records
the adjustment, so the correction is visible rather than silently rewriting history.
Weighing-scale integration for loose grocery is on the roadmap and not yet available. Loose goods
can be billed today by weight or by rupee value, entered at the counter.
