Billing for Bengaluru's provision stores and kiranas.
Phone-first billing, khata and per-shop stock for Bengaluru retail, with the app in English and Hindi.
Bengaluru's old markets still feed a lot of the city's shops. KR Market, the Krishna Rajendra Market, was completed in 1921 and is named after Krishnarajendra Wodeyar of Mysore. It stands in Kalasipalya beside Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace, where Mysore Road meets Krishnarajendra Road. Today it is best known for flowers: jasmine, roses, marigolds, gladiolus, palm leaves and neem branches. Fruit and vegetable sellers have long worked here too, and the market is already busy by half past six in the morning.
On the Cantonment side, Russell Market was started in 1927 by the then municipal commissioner, T B Russell, to bring order to the scattered markets that had supplied the Cantonment through the nineteenth century. It sells meat, fish, flowers, fruit, vegetables and dry fruits, and handles potatoes, onions, garlic and ginger in wholesale. Chickpete, one of the city's oldest areas with roots in the sixteenth century, is known for cloth shops and wholesale businesses, and has one of the largest Marwari communities in South India. The biggest wholesale market for agricultural produce in the city is the Yeshwanthpur APMC Yard.
Neighbourhood retail sits between these hubs and the new residential layouts. The provision store, the milk and curd shop, the vegetable seller and the general store each buy from wholesale and sell in small lots to people they see every day. Many keep a monthly account for regular households.
Bengaluru's counters are multilingual. In the 2011 census about 42 percent of residents gave Kannada as their first language, about 16 percent Tamil, 14 percent Telugu, 13 percent Urdu and under 5 percent Hindi. A single counter can hear several of these in one day. Bazaar IQ's app is in English and Hindi. It is not in Kannada, Tamil or Telugu, so it suits shops where the person billing reads English or Hindi comfortably.
Karnataka GSTINs begin with 29. A regular dealer selling within the state charges CGST and SGST and needs HSN codes on the invoice. A composition or unregistered shop needs only a simple bill.
Bazaar IQ covers the counter itself. Packaged goods scan with the phone camera, and loose items or anything not yet in the catalogue can still be billed by name. Credit for regular households sits in a khata ledger tied to each bill. An owner with shops in two layouts keeps separate stock for each, moves goods between them as transfers, and sees both on one dashboard.
Barcodes for packets, names for everything else
A Bengaluru provision store sells branded packets next to loose rice, dal and vegetables. In Bazaar IQ, billing scans barcodes with the phone camera and finds everything else by name. An item that is not in the catalogue yet can still go on the bill.
Two layouts, one owner
Many owners run a second shop a few kilometres away. Multi-store keeps stock separate for each shop. When you move goods from one to the other, record a transfer and both counts stay right. The dashboard shows each shop or all of them together.
Staff who bill, owners who check
Staff log in with their own accounts and see only the screens the owner allows, with staff permissions. Voids and deletions trigger an owner alert, so the owner does not have to be at the counter to know what happened.
Regular households on monthly credit go into the khata. For GST, the shop prints tax invoices, a Bill of Supply or a plain cash memo depending on how it is registered. Try it free for 14 days, no card needed, or book a demo.

Is Bazaar IQ available in Kannada?
Not today. The app is available in English and Hindi for Bengaluru shops. It also has Marathi and Gujarati, but not Kannada, Tamil or Telugu.
Does it print GST invoices for a Karnataka GSTIN?
Yes. Regular dealers get GST tax invoices with HSN codes and CGST and SGST shown separately. Karnataka GSTINs start with 29. Composition shops get a Bill of Supply with the required composition line, and unregistered shops a plain cash memo.
I run two shops in different parts of Bengaluru. Can I see both?
Yes. Each shop keeps its own stock. You record transfers when goods move between them, and the owner dashboard shows sales for each shop or for all of them together.
Can staff bill without seeing my reports?
Yes. Each staff member gets their own login, and the owner decides which screens they can open. The owner is alerted when staff void a bill or delete an item.
