Billing for Vadodara shops and their monthly regulars.
Counter billing, monthly khata and clean books for Vadodara shops, with the app in Gujarati, Marathi, Hindi or English.
Vadodara's best-known market building began as a royal gift. Khanderao Market was built in 1906 by Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III to mark twenty-five years of his rule, named after his adoptive father, and handed over to the municipality. It still houses municipal offices, and it has been a centre of the city's trade ever since, with a fruit and vegetable market and a flower market. The vegetable market there sells to both retail and wholesale buyers. A short distance away, the stalls around Mandvi Gate sell sarees, dupattas, jewellery and home goods, and Mangal Bazar is a busy stop for clothes and accessories.
Farm produce for the city moves through APMC yards. Government price data lists three inside the city itself: Vadodara, Navapura and Sayajipura. A neighbourhood vegetable seller, dairy or kirana usually buys from traders at these yards or at Khanderao, then sells in smaller lots through the day.
Vadodara's economy shapes who walks into those shops. The city is home to the Gujarat Refinery, Gujarat State Fertilizers and Chemicals, a large Reliance manufacturing division and a cluster of pharmaceutical companies. Jobs like these are salaried, and a shop serving salaried families often runs monthly accounts for its regulars: the same household, the same weekly list, one settlement when the salary arrives. For that shop the monthly account is the business, and keeping it accurate matters as much as billing quickly.
The city's language mix is a little different from the rest of Gujarat. In the 2011 census about 71 percent of residents gave Gujarati as their first language, about 15 percent Hindi and about 7.6 percent Marathi. A Marathi-speaking family may run a shop that serves Gujarati customers, or the other way round.
Gujarat GSTINs begin with 24. A regular dealer needs tax invoices with HSN codes and CGST and SGST shown separately. A composition or unregistered shop needs only a simple bill.
Bazaar IQ covers this without extra software. The app works in Gujarati, Marathi, Hindi and English, and each login picks its own. Monthly customers get a khata balance that updates with every bill, and the owner can open it to show a customer each purchase behind the total. Goods bought from the yard go into storage and move to the shelf when they are put out. At month end, the shop's sales can go to its accountant as a TallyPrime file or through Zoho Books sync.
The monthly account, done right
A Vadodara shop with salaried regulars lives on its monthly accounts. With khata built into every bill, credit is recorded the moment it is given. When a customer asks at month end why the total is what it is, the owner opens their ledger and shows the bills.
Yard stock and shelf stock
Vegetables, milk products or provisions bought from the yard go into storage first. When they go on the shelf, they move to display. Inventory counts the two separately, so the owner can tell what is running low out front even when the godown is full.
Books your accountant can use
At month end, the reports export to Excel or PDF. The Tally export produces a TallyPrime XML file, and shops on Zoho Books can use Zoho sync instead. Expenses and staff salary can be recorded in the same app, so the shop’s month is in one place.

Can I use Bazaar IQ in Marathi in Vadodara?
Yes. The app is available in Marathi, Gujarati, Hindi and English. Each staff login can choose its own language, so a Marathi-speaking owner and a Gujarati-speaking helper can both use it.
Most of my customers pay monthly. Can I show them what they bought?
Yes. Every credit bill is recorded against the customer in the khata. Open their account to see each bill and payment behind the balance, so a month-end question is answered from the record, not from memory.
My accountant uses Tally. Can I send the data?
Bazaar IQ exports sales and related entries as a TallyPrime XML file that your accountant can import. It also syncs with Zoho Books if you use that instead.
